  • LIGHT MANIPULATION: Harper has an affinity for light, which allows her to manipulate it to both a gross and a fine degree. On a gross level, she can amplify existing light by a factor of 10, direct up to a football field's worth of light at a distance of one hundred yards, or darken the same amount of light.
  • LIGHT CREATION: Harper is capable of creating light from nothing. However, nothing comes without a cost. Creating light requires energy. While amplifying existing light uses a moderate amount of energy, creating light in complete darkness drains her physically. She can maintain a created light in complete darkness for one hour before she must let it go out or else consume something to keep her blood sugar from dropping too low.
  • ILLUSION: On a fine level, Harper can use her skills at manipulating light to create illusions. These can be as simple as a shadow puppet show, or as complex and delicate as changing her own appearance. The larger or more complex the illusion, the less time she can maintain it. A simple disguise illusion can be maintained for twelve hours before she needs an hour of rest, whereas a large-scale illusion twenty feet across with multiple moving parts can only be maintained for a few minutes.
  • INVISIBILITY: By manipulating the behavior of light, Harper is capable of invisibility. There are two forms of this. The first is complete invisibility, in which she forces light to pass through her and up to two people in direct contact with her. Harper is able to see despite this due to her other senses, but anyone made invisible in such a way is unable to see. The second is by creation of a veil similar to retro-reflective technology - she creates a box of illusion up to ten feet cubed which reflects whatever is on the other side. This allows others with her to see out while disguising them from view, but also uses more energy and is imperfect - there may be a slight lag or an odd reflection that tips people off. This is draining, and at maximum size can only be maintained for 30 minutes.
  • SPECIAL EFFECTS: On a small scale, Harper can manipulate light for less powerful but often useful effects. Creating light swiftly and powerfully also creates heat, which allows her to use her powers to create something like a flash-bang. She can also create floating globes of light for simple illumination, which can be tethered to people or items. She can create up to five of these, which will last for about an hour before they die out on their own.
  • ALTERED VISION: Harper's ability to manipulate light comes with a sensitivity to it. She can see into the infrared and ultraviolet spectrums, and see clearly even in complete darkness.
  • ENHANCED PHYSIOLOGY: Due to her heritage, Harper has an enhanced physiology. Her strength, speed, agility, and reactions are just below peak human levels.
  • MAGICAL POTENTIAL: Harper's heritage comes with other abilities which she has yet to truly explore. When it comes down to it, her light manipulation abilities are rooted in magic - they're just the natural way she's come to express it. With proper training, she could learn more traditional spell craft.
