IC Events

  • Intangibility: Morris is an entity made up of an unknown energy that is like but not defined by psionics. Quite simply, he does not interact with the physical world beyond perception. The energy form of his body passes through all matter without being able to affect it at all. He is normally completely invisible to man or machine that would otherwise perceive him, but he is likewise normally unable to communicate. He doesn't walk on ground, he simply is, so movement and flight are the same thing to him. He can travel from Attilan to New York City in a manner of minutes, unobstructed by anything like physical properties as he is. If someone is intangible (including astral form), or turned into an energy form of their own, they can perceive and interact with him as if he were normal matter, and vice-versa. Mosaic is not actually an astral form, simply near to it in kind of energy.
  • Shimmer: He has learned, with difficulty, to modulate his own energy to make himself visible and heard by those near him. He appears ghostly, and his voice distant, but there is no way to make this seem normal. To do this for an hour would require him to recuperate for two hours after, and he could not do it for more then two hours total.
  • Dreamscape: While occupying the same space as someone, he can influence their dreams. If they are willing, he can draw them into a kind of waking sleep and control the dream around them to interact. This can only be used by one person at a time. If used on someone asleep, he may similarly control their dreams, but they can not tell that it is anything but a dream— but a compellling dream they might be made to remember— without special powers related to dreams, or a strong telepathic power.
  • Possession: His primary ability is that of possession. He can claim anyone near him, and unless they have extraordinary will (but not needing supernatural strength), he is almost certain to succeed. While possessing someone, he has access to all of their knowledge, skills and any powers that are not based on telepathy. He retains a fragment of that knowledge and skill even after he leaves his host. (This is addressed by sheet updates when notable skills are acquired, but it can be generally understand he is a moderate level Jack-of-all-Trades without being an expert in anything not noted on his skills sheet). He can hold a certain mind for up to a month depending on its strength of will, but once he releases or is forced from the mind he may never re-possess it. The former host does not remember being possessed, but instead remembers in a slightly blurry, vague way, what it is Mosaic wants the host to remember. For most smaller possessions, this is enough to convince them nothing untoward happened— though they might have to try to justify extraordinary situations they are proven to have done they don't remember.
